We have just had notification that group applications for the Broadband Vouchers are no longer being accepted across the country, and the City of London has already stopped accepting applications for individual vouchers. if you have been 'considering' getting a voucher then please get in touch immediately as individual may no longer be an option in the very near future!
Please see the latest update from BDUK below:
Progress against £40m funding allocation
To date, 27,300 vouchers have been issued since 1 April 2015 and £31.3m has been committed against the £40m funding allocation. Since the scheme began in December 2013, over 40,000 vouchers have been issued. The current run rate is £1,436,754 per week based on the last 4 weeks’ average.
Applications for new pre-registered packages - end date
With immediate effect, BDUK will accept no further applications for group schemes. BDUK will continue to process all existing package applications which have already been received.
BDUK will aim to process pre-registered packages in a timely manner and applications will be processed in the order in which they were received. However, no assurances can be provided that specific packages will be pre-registered prior to closure of the scheme.
Suppliers are also notified that, as part of the Scheme’s closure plan, BDUK intends to stop the sale of pre-registered packages as the total funding commitment approaches £40m and in advance of scheme closure.
