From video conference calls for work to virtual 'pub quizzes' with friends and family during lockdown, video chat software got us through it all - could you imagine this year without it?! We dread to think...
At 2Circles, we are dedicated to providing you with the best connectivity solutions, wherever you may be working from. That is why, in the very near future, we will be launching our very own video conferencing product to allow our customers to continue to be productive and get the important stuff done.
Keep your eyes peeled on our social channels for our big reveal in the coming weeks and get in touch to take advantage of this amazing product.

Team Member Spotlight - Ali Marshall
|
|
 |
Robin first met Ali when Ali was a young, fresh-faced Media student at the University of Glasgow. A keen sportsman and popular with everyone, He knew that Ali was going to go far in life, and they had a great time together building the Scottish part of the organisation that worked in the USA for 7 years, at the end of which Ali went to travel the world. After travelling the 7 seas, we were all delighted when Ali came back to join the team and he is a living example to everyone of business with heart. The thing that drives Ali to get up every morning is a chance to help businesses and charities, and he is someone who truly puts the customer first. It was a delight to see him marry Eli from Barcelona and it is great fun watching Skye grow up.
Ali is one of the best people Robin has ever met and is truly an asset to this fantastic team. |

1. What is your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite place I've travelled to is South America... and I'd like to go to Japan!
2. What is your biggest challenge you have overcome?
Hmm that's a challenging question! I ran 2 marathons in 2010/11 and knocked 45 mins off of my time (4hrs 13mins down to 3hrs 28mins)
3. Little known fact about you?
We moved to Portugal when I was 3 - 6 years old, near Lisbon.
4. If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be? And why?
A bird, probably an Eagle... so I could fly!
5. What is your favourite thing about telecoms?
Adding value to charities that we work with, as the positive impact we bring to the table often results in positive impact further down the line (charities can better support the people that they help if they have reliable internet connectivity and phone service, and of course cost reductions are always welcome in the 3rd sector!) |
|
6. What is your favourite mobile handset?
Probably a Fairphone handset as the company sounds brilliant - I like their ethical approach.
7. What is your favourite app on your phone?
I like staying up on the world of sport so probably the BBC Sport app, although listening to positive material makes such a difference to my day so if I can say 2 I'd say the Podcast app too! In fact, there's also an app called GoodNewsNetwork which shares good news stories (as the name suggests!) which is good to balance out all of the mainstream (bad) news!
8. You are a new addition to a crayon box: Which colour would you be? And why?
Blue probably... it has always been my favourite colour - not sure if that's a result of being Scottish?!
9. If you were a shape, what shape would you be? And why?
A circle. I actually thought about this recently when working on shapes with my 4 year old daughter! I like circles as they are the most well-rounded shape (literally!) and having a well-rounded life with family/friends/career/sport etc is important to me.
10. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? And why?
Flying - although question 4 covered that! I'd also like to be able to time travel e.g. Go back for a day at a time to various points in history and different places in the world, and to meet famous people from history. |

An alternative social calendar...
|
|
October already... can you believe it? The world may be full of uncertainties right now, but one thing is for sure: we were not going to let anything spoil our social calendar and our time together.
So far this year we were unable to attend our summer BBQ, Our annual trip to The Fringe or any wine tasting (which we love!), adhering to government guidelines meant we couldn't nip down to the pub or go for a meal together - but that wasn't going to stop us from having some team-time. We are so lucky to have a team who share similar interests and love to be active - a muddy hill walk with lots of laughs was a no-brainer for us!
On Friday afternoon, we set out from the office at 1pm. Destination - North Berwick Law. We had good luck in that the weather was dry, although none of us were really prepared for the gale at the summit! Getting out together in the fresh outdoors was a wonderful way to finish off our week. |
