Hello and welcome to the August edition of our 2Circles Consulting monthly newsletter - keeping you updated with the latest and greatest.

With the Edinburgh Fringe Festival being up and running at the moment it feels as though the world is on the right track to getting back to normal life, for which we are delighted. Our team are very much looking forward to our own step towards normality with our summer BBQ in a few weeks time. We hope that you, your families, and your businesses are happy, safe, and healthy.

How the pandemic has shaped the minds of our younger generations (and filled their pockets!)

It is no secret that the world is ever-changing, and technology is adapting at a rate at which we could never have imagined. The business environment as a whole has changed - gone are the days of firms having to have every member of staff in the building at the same time. The majority of start-ups in the UK in the last year have been e-commerce retail stores. Click below for a better insight into the millennials who are changing the business world as we know it, and taking the internet by storm.

Avoid turning your employees' return to work into a Trojan horse

We can all agree that with the news getting more positive and restrictions continuing to ease, we are well on our way back to normal life. With this in mind, many of us have probably forgotten what the inside of the office actually looks like after being so used to the home office for this long, and will take a bit of time getting used to being back. Due to this, one thing that we should take extra care with when returning to the office this year is the security of our data. Read on below for some steps you can take to ensure your workplace network isn't compromised, and how 2Circles can help you.

Avoid bringing the outside in

An opportunity for enthusiastic young people

We have 2 fantastic Kickstart Scheme opportunities available for young people aged 16-24 who are currently receiving Universal Credit to join our team as Business Support Assistants. Our fast-paced environment in an exciting industry means that no 2 days will be the same. These young people will learn a wide range of transferable skills whilst they work with our team, and full training will be provided.
If you know anyone who fits the bill and would be an excellent addition to our team, please ask them to contact their local job centre/DWP coach and enquire about the vacancies with us.

Team Member Spotlight - Angie

Angie is one of our fantastic directors here at 2Circles Consulting, and has been with the business since inception! Having been a salesperson for many years, she definitely knows her stuff and is a brilliant mentor to salespeople within our business, as well as all of the brilliant things she does behind the scenes. She lights up the office and always has Hapi the dog in tow!

1. What is your favourite holiday destination?
We were lucky to be able to go to India a few years ago - I loved staying in a colonial style hotel where you had a G&T on the veranda to stop the mosquitos biting you, and ladies were asked to wear swimming caps in the pool! It goes without saying that the food was amazing and I was absolutely blown away by the Taj Mahal.

2. What is the biggest challenge you have overcome?
I spent a number of summer holidays whilst just out of university in America selling educational books door to door - this whole experience was one big challenge as we often encountered things like broken down cars, stolen bicycles, not having a place to stay for the night, etc. To do that in a new environment at the age of 19 was certainly challenging!

3. Little known fact about you?
I did a static line parachute jump whilst and uni - my first and only one!
4. If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why?
Our dog, Hapi, because she gets lots of cuddles and hugs!

5. What is your favourite thing about telecoms?
That you can make a real impact to a clients success by providing them with dynamic solutions for our ever-changing environment - lockdown really proved that at 2Circles we are truly consultants that can move rapidly to solve any problems efficiently, inexpensively, and effectively.

6. What is your favourite mobile handset?
Having upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an 11, I can see some really big things happening with Apple in the near future and I LOVE IT
7. What is your favourite app on your phone?
Life 360 - it allows me to locate our boys when they are off out on golf courses and i can find them easily to go and watch.

8. You are a new addition to a crayon box - what colour would you be and why?
Yellow! It shows enthusiasm and brightens up everyones' day.

9. If you were a shape, what would you be and why?
I would be a circle as I don't have any sharp edges or corners

10. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I like to get through my to-do list quickly and efficiently, so lightning speed would definitely be a good one.
